When I lived in Sydney, I used to go with some artist friends to paint along the Georges River. One day we came across a field of fresh, brilliant wild gymea lilies which rose so proudly out of the bush. I tried to capture that feeling in this painting.

Binh Pham is an artist living in Melbourne. She enjoys painting wild places (in pastel, brush painting, water colour and acrylic) and children portraits (in pastel and water colour). She has published a book called ‘The Enchanting Terraces and Canyons of Yellowstone’.

She has held a solo exhibition ‘Wandering the Wild’ at Ferguson Gallery, Camden, NSW, as Artist of the Month in October 2012; and has also participated in numerous group art exhibitions. One of her pastel paintings ‘Sunset at Kings Canyon’ appears on the 2019 Vision Australia Calendar. She has donated a number of her paintings to raise fund for various charities.
