Leni Kae is a contemporary artist and illustrator based in Sydney’s Inner West. Her work has attracted international audiences, with exhibitions across New York, London, Varese, Bologna, Barcelona, Florence Biennale as well as locally. In 2016 Leni Kae was a finalist in the Brisbane Art Prize and Lethbridge Small Art Prize.
Her colourful artworks are an aesthetic and emotional journey captured through colour, patterns, dripping paint and symbolic attributes of the subject and composition. Her underlying desire is to reinforce ‘connection’ within the self, with others, and with nature. In her new series “Healing Landscapes” this is done via exploring an emotional connection to the landscape; her works become a visual representation of the emotional landscape itself, centred around healing and the human need for growth and connection.
