Natalie Spain – ‘Still Life Cutout’

Auction Ended

A still life composition with five bottles. My choice of colour palette developed as a response to the colour purple, both before and after it is mixed from red and blue. The bottles are not the focus of this composition – instead, what would normally be a focal point is almost like a cut out, so that the background patterns are brought to the fore. It is part of my ongoing investigation of still life.
